Good questions

Is Nept Track free?

Yes. The app is free to download and use. It shows a few ads from Google AdMob, never inside the editors and never while an alarm is ringing.

Do I need an account?

No. Open the app and start. There is no sign-up and no login.

Where is my data stored?

Only on your phone, in a local database. Uninstalling the app deletes it, so export a backup from Settings first if you want to keep it.

Can I move my data to a new phone?

Yes. Export a backup file from Settings, copy it to the new phone, and import it there.

Will my alarm ring if the app is closed?

Yes. Alarms are booked with Android's own alarm clock, so they ring on time with the app closed, the screen off or the phone locked, and again after a restart.

Does it work without internet?

Everything you track works fully offline. Only ads and the optional AI assistant need a connection.
